General Socials
General Socials are your opportunity to get to know fellow members of the club, sign up for Charter Trips, Special Socials events and participate in some fun activities. Check out the schedule and read the weekly e-blasts to see what we have planned this season!
General Socials are held every two weeks (either Wednesday or Thursday) throughout the winter season beginning with the Annual General Meeting. The schedule and events are listed here – please make sure to check the schedule on a regular basis as we are continually exploring new and convenient places to hold our general socials!

GENERAL SOCIALS: EQUIPMENT EXPO COMING NOV 19th!
Have everything you need for the upcoming ski/boarding season? Have questions about equipment or boots? Want to get an idea about some of the latest on-hill or trail fashions?
Then you won’t want to miss Equipment Expo, starting at 7:00 pm on Thursday Nov 19th at Whistler’s, where clothing, outdoor activity and ski shop retailers and equipment reps will join us for the evening to show off what’s new for the season and answer your questions.
This is one event that you don’t want to miss!

Guests are always welcome.
The fun starts at 7:00 but come after work for some great grub.

A NTSC familiar stomping ground! Our General socials will be held on the 2nd floor in the McNeil room. Whistlers is located on Broadview just north of Pottery Road. If you are traveling by TTC, take the Danforth line to Broadview station. There are a couple buses which travel north on Broadview - make sure to get off at Mortimer Avenue. Driving? Parking is located street side on Mortimer Avenue and the surrounding neighborhood. |

Philthy McNasty’s is a regular stop on the General Socials circuit. Philthy’s is located on the north side of Eglinton, just east of Yonge Street. It is easily accessible from the Eglinton subway station. If you driving, there are many pay parking lots along Eglinton as well as street parking on the various side roads. |

A new stop on the NTSC circuit, Six Degrees is a swanky uptown nightclub on Yonge, just north of Eglinton. Unlike many of our other club haunts, this place has a dresscode! Please dress to impress—no sneakers, dressy-casual preferred. The club is a quick walk north from Eglinton Station and there is ample parking on the sidestreets and in the surrounding pay lots. |

Another new venue, Boston Pizza is just located just east of Eglinton Station. Parking is available on the sidestreets and in the surrounding pay lots. Look for us on the spacious patio out back and make plans to stay for dinner. Anytime you or your friends eat at Boston Pizza, NTSC gets 15% back on your food purchases when you write “North Toronto Ski Club” on your bill and slip it into the box by the front door! Perhaps one of the most famous bars in Canada, The Maddy has long been a favourite amongst our members so we’re headed there as a club this season. Take the TTC to Spadina Station, walk east along Bloor and head north on Madison Ave. Drivers, there are Green P lots in the area off of Spadina and off of Bloor. |

A great poolhall close to Little Italy and host of NTSC’s annual pool tournament. Pay parking is available on the street or on the South-West corner of Bathurst and College, across from Sneaky Dee’s. To get there via TTC, take the Bathurst streetcar south from Bathurst Station or the College streetcar west from College Station. |
