Day Trips - Overview

OVERVIEW

North Toronto Ski Club is a traveling alpine, snowboard and nordic club run by member volunteers.

We offer Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday daytrips for downhill skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers to destinations in and around Ontario. For those who would like to get away for the day we have three convenient bus pick-up points around the city and our ski/board destinations vary each day. Just check the website or keep in touch with our information line (416-763-9016) for any changes to our schedule, departure times, trip costs or other information.

Our three pickup points are Merton Street (Yonge & Davisville area), York Mills & Yonge and Hwy7 & Hwy 400. (See the Day Trip Pick Up Locations page for more information and bus pickup points)

Membership entitles you to Alpine and/or Cross-Country lessons on every scheduled Saturday and Sunday beginning in January for approximately 10-12 weeks. We offer Wednesday getaways to the private clubs around Ontario such as Alpine, Devil's Glen or Georgian Peaks.
Note: Ski and Board Instructions on Wednesday daytrips are based on instructor availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

When you wish to join us for a daytrip there are two ways you can sign up: simply call our phone-in centre on Thursday nights between 7:00 and 9:00 and let us know which trip you would like to sign up for (Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday), where you will be meeting the bus, and if you would like a ski/board lesson. We also offer a convenient ONLINE SIGN-UP through our website where you can sign up for daytrips up until Thursday evening at 9:00 p.m. (for weekends) or Monday night at 9:00pm (for Wednesday Trips).

Check our schedule to see which day trips are followed by an Après party. Trips with an Après stay at the hill until the posted time and allow members to socialize during various themed events such as, beach night, mardi-gras, toga party etc.

Daytrips are a great way to get to know other skiers or boarders as they tend to always come out on the same day each week! This is great because you'll always know someone on the bus!

When do you do a daytrip? When you just want to get away, meet some friends and ski for a day!

Just a thought: Your day trip cost covers your bus and discounted lift/trail fee. In comparison, average lift ticket $50, group lesson (1 hour) $35, and a return bus fare from Toronto $41.00 (Barrie) and $67.00 (Collingwood) and you haven't even had lunch yet!.... Membership does have it's advantages!
